DIY: Christmas Cocktail and Festive Stir Sticks

Christmas is just two days away and I don’t know about you, but I’m excited!  I’m looking forward to some quality family time, some presents, some yummy food, and of course, some tasty drinks!  The hubs and I had a Squirt free day at home recently so I decided to test out some holiday drinks and whip up some cute DIY stir sticks.  And we ended up with some delicious (and pretty!) drinks!

To prep for these bad boys, you will first want to put some cranberries in a bowl and sprinkle them with some sugar.  Cranberries are obviously super tart, so this adds some sweetness.  Put the bowl in the fridge, overnight if you can.  The longer you leave them in the sugar, the sweeter they will be.

For the drinks themselves, you will need some prosecco, cranberry juice, and pretty glasses (believe it or not, these were in the Target Dollar Spot bins a few weeks ago).

Place a few cranberries in the bottom of each glass…

Then pour in the prosecco, about half of the glass…

Then add a splash of the cranberry juice.  If you like your cocktails a little sweeter, add more juice.  I particularly like the color these turned out to be.

The stir sticks were super easy to make.  I found these wood sticks in the craft painting section at Michaels and then glued on these decorations that were found in the Christmas section.

Make sure you let the stir sticks dry overnight before using them in your drinks.

Just a couple of ingredients for your drinks and some glue for your stir sticks and you have a super delicious cocktail with some festive decor!  What’s your favorite holiday spirit?
