Walt Disney Family Museum Tour Part Two

Welcome back to Part Two of the Walt Disney Family Museum tour!  If you missed Part One, click here first!  Part Two of the tour focuses on the Disneyland years–aka my absolute favorite part of the museum.  Here is the second round of museum highlights!

This is the view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the museum…

And we travel into the planning and building of the Happiest Place on Earth.  This is a model of the park on the day it opened (plenty of close ups are a bit further down).  It is so detailed and so cool to check out.  I spent probably a good hour studying the model and taking pictures.  Definitely my favorite part of the museum.

Loved all of these vintage ride posters…

Sadly, since I got my driver’s license the Autopia has lost some of its appeal, but it was one of my favorites as a kid so this car brought back some memories…

Part Two also includes some Micky Mouse Club memorabilia…

And some media from some of my favorite movies…

The final room goes through the highlights of everything in Walt’s life…

I feel like there is so much more to this museum than you can see in just one day (we didn’t even go into the special exhibit room) so we will definitely go back at some point.  I cannot express enough how awesome the experience was and how much of a must see it is for any Disney fan.  The next time you are in San Francisco, you must stop by!
